The aircraft represented by this model, A62-002, is operated by No. 34 Squadron RAAF — Australia's dedicated VIP and government transport squadron. As part of a modernisation programme approved by the Australian Government, the ageing Boeing 737-700 BBJ fleet was replaced by two brand-new Boeing 737 MAX 8 BBJ aircraft (A62-001 and A62-002), offering greater range, fuel efficiency, and cabin capacity for senior government and military transport missions.
A62-002 (MSN 67960) was delivered to the RAAF following completion of its VIP interior fit-out. Operating under callsigns such as Envoy 82, the aircraft has transported the Australian Prime Minister and senior government officials on both domestic and international missions.
